You might know Tim Exile from his earlier Drum and Bass experiments. Few people seem to be making D+B anymore, those who are seem to be moving on with the genre into new sub-genres. Makes sense that Tim Exile would move on as well. I would say his new album Listening Tree is a departure from his previous efforts, and a good one at that. Known for using the software Reaktor, his sounds are nicely sculpted and still very experimental. The production value alone on this record is worth a few listens. Tim expands on his past with the use of vocals, the new record is more focused on traditional songwriting than cutting it up and looping it. The vocals are interesting enough to carry things along, and keep that futuristic appeal. This record drops respectably from Warp Records, and very quietly at that.
