Will Ozanne aka Gang Colours is a Southampton based producer who began making beats at around the age of 14. We stumbled upon Will late one night while actually skimming the lovely blog you'll soon know.us (have a look when you can.) We were smitten with Will's works and have been fortunate to have had some short but sweet conversations with him. As you listen to his music, you'll pick up on a wide range of influences. He seems adept at moving from beat laden pieces to work that has deeper, atmospheric layers. An interesting little tidbit that indicates the level of sophistication in his work is that he carries a dictaphone around with him whereever he goes to capture anything that could be used and sampled in his music. He has recently collaborated with London MC GhostPoet (Brownswood Recordings) remixing his first single 'Carry Me Home' (release date TBA). And has gained support from radio one's Gilles Peterson, who aired the tracks 'No Clear Reason' and 'In Your Gut Like A Knife' (featured here) on recent shows. Our best guess is that you'll be hearing more from Gang Colours soon.
