We've been like giddy school girls anticipating the next Beatles release in regards to feelings surrounding James Blake and this new album which just dropped. Hands down, this is bound to appear not only on our top ten of 2011 but many, many critics. It's such a unique, refreshing sound. if you aren't familiar with Mr. Blake and his previous soundscapes - search for him on the site here and you'll see a few things pop up. CMYK and his other EP's shed light on his style and how he was a fantastic collaborator with Mount Kimbie and the new movement that's been recently born of "dub step." I'm not really sure I can classifiy this music as a "type" of anything as I'm somewhat allergic genres, especially ones that cross over many of them.
That being said - James Blake is opening doors and creating some beautiful music.
More can be found on James here. And you cannot miss this video we recently posted of "The Wilhelm Scream." Just stunning.
