Just imagine cold caves, dark dens, vicious vaults or even strong smelling sewers. Wouldn’t it be interesting to pack all these scenes in a musical piece?
I hardly can remember all the “instruments” I used for this music. I think there were brittle wooden sticks, leaves, stones and all the other things you can find in a good wood!
I got in some reverberative tunnel to throw some cans and tins to record them, I messed around with water buckets in my room, I looked for suitable material in our kitchen drawer, I recorded a nice nightingale at 2 o’clock at night. But you can also find acoustic guitars in every track. And ukuleles. I even asked some friends to play clarinets and fiddles.
That’s how I created (roughly speaking) the official soundtrack for the adventure game ‘Alchemia’. The game and the music were both released on the 7th of september. Everybody can download the music for free.
For those who didn’t see my previous post on Julian’s music – he’s caught our attention crafting some stellar work.
