2009 was a huge year for music. Dubstep certainly shot into the stratosphere, gaining massive popularity in the UK, Vancouver, and in the US. (to name a few) San Francisco/Bay Area has quickly become the epicenter of bass culture in the States, sharing the torch with a myriad of other cities like Austin, NYC, Denver, LA, Seattle, Detroit, and the list goes on. What’s most exciting about the genre is how rapidly it’s warping and evolving. From rich harmonics to chainsaw melodies, new crossover styles are emerging constantly.
