Unknown Mortal Orchestra is a New Zealand fronted PDX psycherock band that popped up on my radar last year via their band camp page. The band seems to have hit its stride and released a full length album this summer that is totally worth a purchase. Actually, they are touring the US as we speak so you could even catch them live. I personally am smitten with them. Their sound is a perfect blend of prog, kraut, psyche, and pop with that lo-fi tinge that keeps it from getting to polished.
